As you may know, college tends to drain money from our bank accounts everyday. Some of the things that we have to pay for are tuition, food, gas, and rent. Those four things take a huge toll on a kid, especially if you’re a first year student. Fortunately though, I only have to pay for gas and tuition, as I still live with my parents. Although all of these factors put a big burden on our shoulders, there are many ways to get through it. One way is to get a part time job. By having a part time job, you’ll have a source of income every week or two weeks that allows you to make payments and develop a sense of responsibility. Another way to deal with being broke is to ask yourself if you really need that new pair of shoes, or if you really need to eat out every night of the week. You have to manage your money wisely or else all of those small expenses add up to one large expense over a months time or so. So just remember! There are always ways to help your financial needs as you go through college.
My First Post
Today’s post is over the topic of “if I had one more hour in my day, what would I do?”
If I had one more hour in my day, the first thing I would do is wake up at 5:30 and start chores like any other day. Then, depending on the day of the week, I’d either go to school or stay at work. After school or work, I would take that extra hour to finish some of my own projects; such as tinkering with my snowmobiles or working on my square-body. When I finish that for the day, I usually stop by the shop to see how my dad is doing and to see if I can help out. After I stop at the shop, I proceed to go home, eat, and go to bed. Personally, I could use about five more hours in a day because of the lifestyle I live but I guess as of now, we can only take it one day at a time!
